INDUSTRIAL Radiographic Control (RT)

With the Radiographic and Gammographic Control it is possible to highlight a large number of discontinuities (for example porosity, inclusions, blowholes, cracks, woodworms, inclusions of slag, lack of penetration) present in industrial products, castings or welds.

Industrial radiographic controls are used to evaluate the defects of materials and involve the use of X or Gamma radiation.

DETECTABLE FEATURES
with the Industrial Radiographic Control

Density variation due to defects such as cavities and inclusions.

FUNCTIONALITY
of Industrial Radiographic Control

  • Possibility of having a permanent recording, easy to interpret.
  • Versatile in terms of testable test materials and thicknesses.

NOTES
Industrial Radiographic and Gammographic Control

  • Limitation of the thicknesses that can be inspected.
  • Strict precautions should be taken for radiation.
  • Difficult to identify cracks oriented perpendicular to the beam.

APPLICATIONS
of Industrial Radiographic and Gammographic Control (RT)

The check can be done on all materials as long as they are within a range of thickness compatible with the type of source available, mainly on castings and welds.
